Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition triggered by experiencing or witnessing traumatic events. Conventional treatments for PTSD, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and pharmacotherapy, often fall short in providing relief for certain patients. In recent years, Virtual Reality Therapy (VRT) has emerged as a promising treatment for PTSD, offering immersive environments that allow patients to confront and process traumatic memories safely. This study explores the impact of Virtual Reality Therapy on PTSD treatment in Pakistan, a country where the prevalence of trauma-related disorders is high due to various socio-political factors. The research assesses the efficacy of VRT in reducing PTSD symptoms, such as flashbacks, nightmares, and hyperarousal, in a sample of Pakistani patients. Findings suggest that VRT significantly reduces PTSD symptoms by enhancing emotional processing and providing an immersive therapeutic environment. This paper aims to provide insight into the potential of integrating VRT into mainstream mental health care in Pakistan.
